from both sides, 2000

Using visual and performance art ‘from both sides’ draws attention to the colours, textures and contrasting atmhospheres of this decaying but beautiful place – the high walls and open water  and it’s transition from victorian industrial beginnings through wasteland and dereliction towards new growth.

Visual theatre company economies of scale  presents ‘from both sides’ – a performance which will take place on Canon’s Marsh, adjacent to the former gasworks, a unique site at the heart of Bristol.  The piece is site specific and has been rehearsed and created on the harbourside.  It will be a promenade performance – taking the audience on a journey beginning at the entrance to Gasworks Lane and finishing at Hannover Quay.

economies of scale is a company of performers and artists interested in making performance outdoors under the influence of unusual places, members of the company have worked with amongst others, Kneehigh,Candoco,By Word of Mouth,……..
